PRACTICE COMPUTER SYSTEM UPDATE
JULY/AUGUST 2010
We are currently in the process of updating our Clinical Computer System. Although we will endeavour to keep disruption to an absolute minimum, there will be a period of time at the end of July and the beginning of August when our access to patient computer records will be restricted. This represents a major upheaval for all the staff here and we are grateful for your patience and understanding during this time
APPOINTMENTS
We will be offering limited appointments for both doctors and nurses from the 28th July until the new system goes live on the 5th August. There will be further limited appointments from the 5th August to allow for staff training on the new system. Routine blood test appointments will be suspended from 27th July until Monday 9th August. We will not be able to book appointments in advance in the usual way as all appointments made on the old system will have to be transferred onto the new system. It is anticipated that the Practice will be working normally from Monday 16th August
REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS
It will not be possible to process repeat prescriptions between 27th July and the 6th August.
Thank you to everyone who has ordered their medications early - this has been a lot of extra work for the dispensary but the staff thank you for your patience and understanding if things hadn't gone quite as smoothly as usual although we didn't encounter too many problems and staff have managed to attend some of the training sessions.
Please note that the dispensary will be CLOSED all day on Wednesday 4th August to allow staff to transfer stock to the new system and will re-open at midday on Thursday 5th August.
