Seasonal Flu Vaccinations - October 2009
Please telephone the surgery to book an appointment for your annual seasonal flu vaccination. Flu vaccination is recommended for those aged 65 years and over and those with heart and some respiratory conditions, diabetes, kidney, liver or immune system problems.

Groups in priority order to receive the vaccine will be:

Those aged from 6 months to 65 years in the current seasonal flu vaccine at-risk groups

Pregnant women
-
People living in the same household as immunosuppressed patients, such as cancer sufferers.
Those aged 65 years and over with:

Heart problems
-
Chest complaints such as COPD, bronchitis and emphysema

Kidney disease
-
Liver disease
-
History of stroke
-
Diabetes
-
Immunosuppressed patients
-
Multiple sclerosis or cerebral palsy

Please note that the new out-of-hours provider is NENEDOC. The number is 03336 664 664. They are available to provide treatment and advice for urgent illnesses and minor injuries when the surgery is closed, Monday - Thursday 6.30pm- 8am and weekends from Friday 6.30pm to Monday 8am (including bank holidays). Calls are charged at local rates.
